FPV - you may have been hearing these three letters a lot recently, but you might not know what they actually mean. FPV stands for "First Person View," which means that a video camera is mounted on the drone (airplane, RC car, etc.) and broadcasts live video to the pilot's goggles. This allows the pilot to fly the drone as if they were actually on board, instead of watching the drone from a real-world position on the ground. FPV enables you to fly much higher and farther than you could when viewing the drone from the ground. FPV control also allows for more precise flying around obstacles, especially with drones that can easily fly indoors or in tight spaces where you wouldn't see obstacles from a fixed position.
